Kaidan Game Train: Abide Rule or Die!

Chapter 2431: A Voice Heard by Only One Person

Chapter 2431: A Voice Heard by Only One Person

After "pondering over it again and again," Xu Huo finally agreed to travel with them."Didn’t that old woman give you something?" The Yin Yang Master extended his hand, "Take that pocket out."

Xu Huo took out the old woman’s cloth bag, "There are just some herbs inside."

"The old woman pointed the way for you." Bubble Bean glanced at it, sneering, "Aren’t you afraid she’ll lead you to your death? In this weather, letting you leave, isn’t it sending you to die?"

"One must choose something." Xu Huo implied that it was better to trust the elderly woman rather than be coerced by them; perhaps she truly meant well in guiding them.

"If that’s the case, then let’s follow the old woman’s directions." Bubble Bean said, "You go in front."

Bubble Bean and his companion originally came to check on Deng Guang’s whereabouts; even though the fog hadn’t cleared, it made little difference to them.

Xu Huo walked ahead with a displeased expression, the Girl in the painting tightly holding onto his sleeve, seemingly still terrified.

The Yin Yang Master impatiently said, "You, go to the front!"

The Girl in the painting turned around in surprise, looking at him incredulously, as if she couldn’t believe he would say such a thing.

"What are you looking at?" The Yin Yang Master’s face turned cold, "Do you think I don’t dare to take action? As long as no one dies, missing a hand or a foot isn’t impossible!"

Xu Huo shielded the Girl in the painting behind him, "I’m already leading the way, why are you harassing my sister?"

The two of them played good cop, bad cop; Bubble Bean timely stepped forward to block the Yin Yang Master and added, "My brother doesn’t have a good temper, this isn’t your issue, move forward."

Xu Huo turned his head again and this time switched positions with the Girl in the painting.

"Are you from this region?" Bubble Bean inquired from behind.

"No." Xu Huo answered indifferently.

"The region is so large, why travel here?" Bubble Bean probed, "Why were you lost here, with an ordinary person in tow?"

Xu Huo didn’t turn his head, "What’s the point of traveling if not to see unique landscapes? If it’s about city structures, you can see them anywhere, so why leave your own region?"

Bubble Bean chuckled, "You make a valid point."

"Have you encountered other players before us?"

"No," Xu Huo replied, "We walked for a whole day and didn’t see a third person."

"Similar situation to ours." Bubble Bean softened his tone, pausing before saying, "How did you arrive here? There’s no aircraft nearby."

"We used a teleportation device, but the destination had a slight deviation..." Xu Huo paused deliberately, as if hiding something difficult to reveal.

Bubble Bean noticed, "A device can fail? So careless, aren’t you afraid of risking your life?"

Xu Huo’s expression darkened and he remained silent.

The group continued walking for a while, then the Girl in the painting suddenly stopped and gestured to Xu Huo.

"Let’s take a break," Xu Huo suggested.

"What’s the matter?" The Yin Yang Master asked displeased.

"Nature calls." Xu Huo took out a prop rope, winding one end around his own wrist and the other around the Girl in the painting’s wrist, instructing, "There are large trees everywhere, no one can see. Just resolve it behind a tree."

Bubble Bean and his companion didn’t watch too closely; in their view, the Girl in the painting was simply an ordinary person, even with tenfold courage she wouldn’t dare wander far.

Indeed, the Girl in the painting didn’t go far; she stopped after two trees, but seconds later, she started moving forward again.

Bubble Bean noticed and immediately said to Xu Huo, "Pull her back!"

Xu Huo hurriedly tightened the rope, but soon realized that the other end wasn’t with the Girl in the painting. Panicking, he rushed to follow her, only to be blocked by Bubble Bean, "You aren’t allowed to go!"

Xu Huo grew more anxious, furiously saying, "If anything happens to my sister, you’ll meet your end in this grove!"

After saying this, he bypassed them, heading towards the direction the Girl in the painting went.

Bubble Bean and his companion followed closely behind, keeping a two to three meter distance from Xu Huo. They kept up with him for a short distance but then completely lost trace of the Girl in the painting.

Logically, when they realized something was amiss, they should immediately chase after; until the Girl in the painting disappeared from their perception, she was walking, so catching up seemed easy. But oddly enough, just as they were about to catch up, she vanished from sight!

Xu Huo shouted several times but in the surroundings, there was only the slight pattering of mist.

"Shut up!" Bubble Bean interrupted sharply as small animals in the grove started scattering, "If you keep yelling, don’t blame me for being rude!"

After speaking, he cautiously observed around, ensuring no figures appeared before preparing to leave, but before he could say anything, the Yin Yang Master suddenly exclaimed "Deng Guang," then strode forward.

Bubble Bean felt his hair stand on end, hurriedly catching the figure and looking in the direction he was heading; amidst the thick mist, nothing was visible. But besides trees, there was nothing else there!

The Yin Yang Master was alert, staring at his companion in surprise, "You didn’t hear Deng Guang calling me?"

"What Deng Guang!" Bubble Bean rebuked, "I’ve mentioned before, don’t respond to any sound heard here. And you stepped forward, why?"

The Yin Yang Master was puzzled too, "I don’t know what happened, I just instinctively believed it when I heard Deng Guang calling... That wasn’t Deng Guang? You didn’t hear a sound?"

Bubble Bean’s face turned sour as he looked at Xu Huo.

"I didn’t hear anything." Xu Huo’s tone was stiff, his attention still focused on the direction where the Girl in the painting vanished.

Bubble Bean and his companion wore detectors, but the grove’s magnetic field was chaotic, causing significant fluctuations; they couldn’t accurately pinpoint if something appeared nearby just now.

"It’s definitely not the work of a player; this place is too strange. Mental interference has patterns but we’ve roamed in this mist for days without finding a single clue."

Bubble Bean considered leaving, but Xu Huo wasn’t cooperating; he darted behind a nearby tree, quickly distancing himself from them.

"Planning to run?" Bubble Bean casually tossed a small copper bell, which instantly soared. All that was heard was a crisp sound, and the fleeing Xu Huo was forced back by a barrier!

The Yin Yang Master seized the opportunity to grab his shoulder, bringing him into the Teleportation Prop tunnel with them.

The three were teleported ten thousand meters away; although the location changed, the surrounding mist showed no reduction. On emerging, it looked almost identical to the previous spot; if not for the instrument’s operation, they might have thought they hadn’t moved.

After thrusting Xu Huo out, the Yin Yang Master pressed a Long Blade to his neck, "Behave, try to run and don’t blame me for being impolite!"
