Chapter 364 - 221: "Assistant" Is a Better Description

"...How do you know about the Starfall Association?"

Lize stared at Sunan with a peculiar gaze.

"I read about it in some documents," Sunan casually replied.

The Starfall Association is not very prominent among the wizard influences, barely regarded as a third-rate faction. The only commendable aspect is their exquisite skill in creating alchemical constructs.

Thinking of it this way, Fallen Star City was most likely crafted by the Starfall Association.

However, in Sunan’s memory, the Starfall Association was destroyed due to internal conflict. Could it have been because of Fallen Star City?

Seeing Sunan not willing to divulge more, Lize didn’t press further and sighed, "That’s right, I am indeed a member of the Starfall Association, and Fallen Star City was crafted by our organization."

After some hesitation, she finally chose to speak the truth.

"After Fallen Star City was built, the Starfall Association had disagreements on how to manage it. External forces seized the opportunity to meddle in our internal affairs, leading to a breakout of conflict. In the end, the entire Starfall Association was severely wounded, and I was the only one who survived."

"However, I was gravely injured. To prevent Fallen Star City from falling into external hands, I had to initiate the transportation program of Fallen Star City, lurking into the depths of the Rainbow Sea, but by then I was already nearing death."

"Unwilling to simply perish, I fused my soul into the grimoire I carried, and fortunately, my luck prevailed, allowing me to survive in the form of a ghost."

Sunan asked, "Then what’s the story with the key in the hands of the Russell Clan?"

"At first, when I became a ghost, my power was insufficient, and I fell into slumber. By the time I awoke, the wizards had left the Starlight Continent. I was unwilling to live on as a ghost indefinitely, so I found a way to send the method to enter Fallen Star City and the Sun-Melting Pearl to the Russell Clan, hoping a genius would emerge within the clan, become a wizard, and find a way to resurrect me. Sadly, for over two hundred years, I haven’t found a suitable candidate."

"You didn’t tell them about your existence?"

Lize was silent for a while before saying, "Even in the same clan, I cannot guarantee that everyone is trustworthy."

Sunan understood.

In even the most affectionate families, inevitably unworthy descendants emerge.

If a clan member in a certain generation harbors ill intentions, coveting Lize’s soul, her situation would undoubtedly become extremely perilous.

The soul of an Official Wizard is a treasure with few equals on the Starlight Continent.

Without a suitable candidate emerging, she would continue to wait patiently.

"So why can’t the Russell Clan enter Fallen Star City later?" Sunan continued to ask.

Lize glanced at the shimmering orb and sighed, "The environment of the Starlight Continent heavily impacts the star core of Fallen Star City. Over the years, the energy absorption has continuously been in deficit. To maintain operations, Fallen Star City closed its pathways over seven hundred years ago. Subsequently, most facilities in the city have been gradually shut down, and now only this tower continues to function."

Hearing this, Sunan couldn’t help but feel puzzled.

If Fallen Star City had closed its entrance, how did he manage to enter?

Could it be...

Seemingly guessing Sunan’s doubt, Lize said, "That’s right, I actively guided you in."

"Although I cannot fully control Fallen Star City, I still hold some permissions, such as enabling it to respond to contacts from the Sun-Melting Pearl."

"I initially had little hope, but you proved more capable than I anticipated, quickly finding your way here."

At this point, Lize couldn’t help but glance at Amy on Sunan’s shoulder.

She suspected Sunan’s ability to find Fallen Star City might have much to do with this little creature, otherwise, why would he bring a cat?

This little thing seemed to have no combat ability.

Noticing Lize’s gaze, Amy shrank her body back toward Sunan’s neck.

"Did you contact the Siren Sea Demon using the same method?"

"Exactly."

"What is your objective?"

"I want to reconstruct a body!" Lize emphasized, adding, "A body that allows me to continue advancing as a wizard!"

Sunan frowned.

If it were merely a matter of reconstructing a normal body, even with Lize’s ghost form, achieving this isn’t overly difficult.

An intact Knight Level body could suffice to bear a Wizard Level soul.

The Siren Sea Demon and Deep Sea Naga have fought for countless years; surely, they can find a complete body of a fallen warrior.

But resurrecting in such a manner would result in inevitable power reduction due to soul-body incompatibility. Lize’s power would drop drastically. It would be impressive to maintain Level 3 Wizard Apprentice status.

Additionally, future advancements would be unthinkable.

Furthermore, lifespan would significantly decrease.

Upon true death, she couldn’t revert to ghost form using the same method.

With such inherent limitations, it’s understandable why Lize is reluctant to adopt this approach.

Yet, reconstructing a perfectly soul-compatible body is as challenging as ascending to wizard status.

"I have no involvement in this area; I can’t assist you." Sunan shook his head.

"I possess the method for body reconstruction, I just lack sufficient materials."

Sunan’s expression slightly shifted, "Like the Sea Heart?"

The Sea Heart is the essence of sea power.

And given the ocean’s inherent ability to reconstruct bodies — such as the Siren Sea Demon, who is revived as a semi-undead being — the Sea Heart can serve as material for body reconstruction.
